Hey guys hope you are well :).
In the past year I have been so obsessed with matcha and felt like sharing with you few of the reasons why :). Matcha is becoming more and more popular, and there are plenty of reasons why. Weird enough it’s not very easy to find in town. Just recently I found a place that serves matcha tea and latte. Mainly I buy my own powder and make it at home. It’s a pretty tricky process, and it takes a lot of practice to get it but trust me it’s all worth it :D.
Why is Matcha Tea Good For you
Antioxidants – Detox
Matcha is known as one of the most powerful, natural antioxidants we can get our hands on. Green tea has been recognised as a great source of antioxidants but powdered Matcha is way more powerful, thanks to its high concentration. In fact, matcha green tea has “won” one of the highest antioxidant ORAC ratings (168,500, you can google other foods just for the comparison) of any food or drink ever measured. It’s today’s ultimate super food!
Skin benefits of matcha
There are SO so many benefits of matcha tea when it comes to the skin! Generally, antioxidants can help clear breakouts and the overall health of your skin. But in the long term, matcha can also help with sun damage, scarring and acne. I have had a lot of issues with my skin but when I clean up my diet and add matcha to it, my breakouts significantly decrease. So if you have some skin troubles I will highly recommend it!
Metabolism benefits of matcha
Just like green tea, drinking matcha is enhancing your metabolism and it’s a great way to help your body takes care of itself :). Combined with a healthy diet and good exercising, matcha can actually help you stay fit and happy 🙂 .
Focus, Concentration and Mental Health
Something that makes me prefer matcha then coffee sometimes is that it actually gives me enough boost and helps me concentrate without getting the “coffee shakes”. I get very alert and it helps me focus when doing work or reading, and even after drinking up to 4 cups I don’t get the feeling of too much caffeine you can get when you abuse coffee. Generally, if your goal is enhancing your focus and getting some work or studying done, I would recommend matcha before coffee.
Great Insta Content
Cannot not mention it, matcha latte art looks fabulous and is extremely Insta-friendly at the moment 😀 .
My experience with Matcha and why I love it
To be honest it’s mainly the taste! What comes with it is only extra beneficial, but I definitely don’t drink it solely based on that. I genuinely enjoy the taste and the kick I get from it. If prepared correctly it’s super delicious. It’s a tricky process though, and I have had quite some failures 😀 But I think I finally got it. I love making matcha at home, and I would love to show you how I do it and where I get my matcha powder from!
I hope I convinced you to give Matcha a try if you haven’t :). But in case you are still wondering, here are my top 10 reasons why I think you should try it:
