Hey guys, thanks for stopping by.Today I am sharing something I find very alarming and makes me feel pretty uncomfortable.
Some of you might know that, but in case you didn’t, I am a vegetarian.I have been a vegetarian for about 3 years and my diet is very rich in vegetables, fruits, beans, eggs and dairy products.
Recently I have been feeling constantly hungry and craving meat. I am not sure what is going on as my diet hasn’t changed much since I became a vegetarian and I have never really craved meat the way I do now. Every time someone is eating meat around me, I can’t help but just drool all over their meal.
Never before I have felt uncomfortable with what I can eat and so It’s extremely unusual for me to crave meat, and I honestly don’t know what to do.
I am starting to wonder if my belief system is being shaken down from some personal things I am going through or it’s something physical.
why I became vegetarian
I love the taste of meat. My absolutely favourite is pork. My family (and Bulgarians in general) are pretty big fans of meat and so it’s been a substantial part of my diet growing up.
I am a huge animal lover though and to me, meat eating has been associated with some inhumane activities that the market and meat industry in general suggest. Not eating meat has never been a health choice but purely out of love for animals. And therefore craving meat makes me feel extremely guilty as my belief is so personal.
Plan of action
So I am pretty confused about my diet right now, I am not sure why I am craving meat, but I will try my best to figure out what the reason is and try to fix it. I never want to go back to eating meat, but I also don’t want to crave it!
I have been eating a lot of junk food lately, so I think this might be the reason of my not-best overall physical being.
What I am planning to do, is try to clean up my diet again and spend some more time preparing interesting and diverse meals. I am not very big in the kitchen and you can’t find me cooking quite often 😀 (read never). I do enjoy it, though, so I will give it a try 🙂 Hopefully, that will help and I will stop feeling hungry and unsatisfied with what I eat.
Any vegetarians out there who have experienced the same issue and have some advice? 🙂
