Hey guys, hope you are well :).  I will be adding a new section to the blog dedicated to Denmark and life in Denmark as a foreigner :). The topics will be touching upon matters like work, making friends, language, traditions, beauty & fashion and all in between. All just from my perspective and my experience. The first topic might seem a little less important, but I get many questions about it, and I think it’s a good thing to consider when moving to Denmark.

prices of beauty procedures in Denmark

So how expensive are beauty procedures and products in Denmark, compared to .. for example, Bulgaria? Today I will make a small comparison of some of the most popular beauty procedures that many girls like to get done.
I am sharing the prices in Danish krona, Bulgarian Lev and Euro. The last section of the table shows how much it costs to get the same procedure in Bulgaria :). The prices are approximate and of course, can vary, but will give you a guideline.  Starting with beauty procedures that you can get at the salon:

Here is an example of a price list in a beauty salon in Aalborg – Aalborg Beauty
And one in Sofia – Venera
Beauty procedures at the salon can be a bit pricey, but they are still manageable when you have a job and work out your prioritising.
When it comes to products you can get at the drugstore or supermarket, the prices are similar to the ones in Bulgaria and very affordable for the Danish standard of living. Some are even lower. Here is a small example of some everyday beauty products so you can get an idea:

If we take a look at makeup it’s pretty much the same situation as other beauty products. The only difference is that there are fewer brands available in physical stores in Aalborg than I have seen in Sofia.

How I manage my beauty budget in Denmark?

Beauty products that you purchase yourself are pretty normally priced, and much more affordable than in Bulgaria. Not only that, but there are frequent discounts, which allows me to stock up on Micellar water, body and face lotions.
Procedures at the salon are still pretty expensive in my opinion, but here is a small tip: You can always get a discount, even 50% off if you decide to get your procedure done by the “elev” (trainee) in the salon.

So how expensive are beauty procedures where you live? And which kind do you like to get done?

That was it from me for today, hope you enjoyed this short article! Later, we can take a look at prices of eating out, experiences and nightlife :).

Hugs,
Veronika
